We love the adventure of the open water, the sea is always calling us. We spend precious leisure time outdoors, on the open sea, exploring some of the most beautiful places anywhere in the world.​

But every time we want to anchor, or moor, there actually isn't "an app for that!". So we decided to do all the work, research literally the entire world, and create the one and only place on planet "app" that has this priceless information available to any boater, anywhere, anytime.

Anchoring the World in Love and Charity is the mission of our charity, the way we give back to help make our world better. Drop the Hook is more than an app, it's a way to help alleviate suffering in cities and towns devastated by manmade and natural disasters in coastal areas globally.

Drop the Hook is an app for boaters to search for the best place to:
anchor | use a mooring ball
find a dock/slip | search for local marinas
Anchor, moor, dock and marina locations around the world will be searchable, with contact information for marinas’ reservations for their slips and mooring balls. Places to anchor will be identified by a GPS pin (an anchor symbol - cute, like our logo)

Each location will have an overall description and any pertinent information. We will offer advice for less-than-optimal sea or weather conditions.

We will have an in-app, opt-in community who want to share locations, maybe some laughs, tools you might need, a bottle of milk, a dinghy ride to shore...

We raise money to help alleviate suffering and improve the lives of those in coastal towns affected by manmade and natural disasters. We do this by raising money to support local organizations in cities and towns around the world whose work benefits the health and wellbeing of their local populations. We are grateful to be able to give back in tangible, lasting ways that make the world more anchored in love and giving.
